<p>1789 war Strafford County eins von fünf Original Countys in New Hampshire. Es wurde benannt nach William Wentworth, 2. Earl of Strafford. Das <a href="Belknap_County" title="Belknap County">Belknap County</a> wurde 1840 aus Strafford County ausgegliedert.
